System Integrity Analysis

a/c system inspectionWhen we inspect a home, we are looking to make sure that all of the parts are functioning together. Your home is a system that works together - if one part isn't working, the rest will soon follow. When we evaluate your home for a system integrity analysis, we check the following:

    • Crawlspace or Basement
    • Attic
    • Gutters
    • Windows
    • Insulation
    • Duct work
    • Vents
    • Filtration
    • Sizing
    • Equipment

Let's take a brief look at what each of these home systems can do to your whole system (specifically what they will do to compromise your HVAC system).

Crawlspace or Basement - A settling crawlspace or basement can compromise the integrity of your walls. Air quality will suffer from cracks in the walls. Energy efficiency is compromised.

Attic - Check for leaks from your roof which can lead to energy efficiency and endanger your whole home.

Gutters - Clogged or faulty gutters can dump water on your AC unit and flood your basement.

Windows - Inefficient windows reduce the integrity of your air conditioner or heater by making it work harder.

Insulation - Rotten insulation, inefficient insulation or simply insulation which is not thick enough can make your AC or heater work harder.

Duct Work and Vents - Your ductwork and vents should be clean, made of appropriate materials, and in good condition.

Filtration - Air filtration keeps the quality of your air clean and healthy, while letting your system work more efficiently.

Sizing - If your AC or Heater aren't the appropriate size for your home, they will be overworked and can shut down.

Equipment - Your actual AC condenser and your furnace are the beating hearts of your HVAC system. We will check how well they are running and if they are still in good condition.

Typically, if you are having high gas bills, high electric bills, poor air quality, or low humidity, there is a break in your system. Call 4 Seasons Heating & Air today to perform a system analysis.
